Yes. For example, the blue in Mexico’s coat of arms counts for "Flag with blue or light blue". When you see the answers, it says "(in a detail)".
They use the country’s name as GeoCake writes it in English. If you type "Holland", it counts as "Netherlands".
If there’s no data for a clue (for example, Taiwan’s population), you don’t lose the guess.
There’s a new grid every day at midnight your local time. In Practice you get random grids that don’t count toward your stats.
